How to use Edge Rules to set a custom cache time for a file extension

The addition of edge rules makes it very easy to customize the cache time based on specific extensions. This article explains how to set this up in two easy steps.

1. Open your pull zone details page and select Edge Rules in the side menu.

2. Select the Override Cache Time action.

3. Enter your extension into the trigger path preceded with the * sign, for example, *.mp4

4. Enter the desired cache time into the Cache time field.

5. Add the edge rule and you're all set.
